23 things assignment #8 - the words

Ok, I figured out how to save some YouTube videos to my blog, but every time I tried to add a comment or "compose" the video disappeared. I also couldn't figure out how to put everything on one post. Maybe if I took more time I could figure it out, but I don't have the time.
I am personally not fond of YouTube - again too much information - too much to look at and I spent a good amount of time just browsing trying to find something that appealed to me. I did find some videos related to getting library cards, and promoting various library incentives like R4R, but really - those looking at YouTube are probably looking for something not so mundane. I can't imagine that people will browse through YouTube for Library services....

23 things week 7: Podcasting

I signed up for 3 podcasts: VegCast, Irish Fireside, and Your Earth. I can't imagine that I will ever take a look at them - I'm soooo tired of everything computer!

23 things, assignment #6

Online Office Tools....
Would I use it? Probably not for anything that I have to do.
I could see using it for things like minutes, or procedures, if more than one person is adding/editing. Especially if you have to do that sort of thing all the time, and with a lot of people. (Maybe in TPL, Marketing could use it when writing up News Releases or articles? or for those people writing up procedures, or policy?)
Because I've only seen it from the initiating stage, I'm curious what it would look like if out of the blue, I got an email asking me to be a collaborator....
I'm finding all these things overwhelming and it's a real test to keep track of everything I've had to sign up for, all the sign-in's and passwords, and the use for each tool. Photobucket, Big Huge Labs, Blogger, Bloglines, Blogspot, Flikr, Google docs, a couple of gmail addresses, a yahoo address, and inadvertantly, somewhere along the line I signed up for a wiki but I can't tell you how or why...

23 things assignment #5 (scroll down past picture)

I got a bit behind because I took a wonderful vacation! Nothing exotic - just painting a couple of rooms in my home, which, although was labor intensive, the end result is one room with a burst of color and energy, and another, a world of calm. Humm, if I didn't have to work, think of all the things I could do! (Not that I don't love my job...)
Anyway - task at hand. I got into del.icio.us and got registered (does anyone else worry about how many times we have to put our email address out there when we have to register for everything? or is it that my age is showing...?)
I have bookmarked 3 sites we've used for this project - Photobucket, Bloglines, and Blogger. Also for my own interest I've added in Beadage - Make Beaded Jewelry, and, Free Stained Glass Patterns, and, N.Z. Folksongs*Maori Songs.
Again - too much information! Will I use these? Probably not but learning anything is good, and maybe someday it will come in handy.
To keep up with a new "skill", I found and added a lovely "smiley face" from Photobucket - seen below:
